Title Sequence
In the opening title of skins they use a lot of clips from the program and quite quickly which I think is to try and show you as much as they can about the characters so you get an idea of what the program is going to be like and also to symbolise how many things they get up to. They show all the main characters but none of the parents or teachers involved all just the teenagers which again is so you understand skins is mainly just about teenagers and there life and what they get up to, which is why you see a boy smoking then a girl in a music lesson then a teenage couple kissing because there trying to relate to all teenagers and so every character is different because in a group of friends there al different and one might smoke or there might be and out cast etc also they use more then one kissing shot which could tell us that there sexually active. most adults say to cherish your childhood because it goes so quickly and you see a clock and the hand spins round really fast which Is used to symbolise that and you see a teenager girl bouncing on a trampoline which I think symbolises how their in between from being a kid to becoming a adult also you see to of the same on way sign both pointing in the opposite direction from each other which I think stand for the paths that teenagers have to chose will you go the right way or make a mistake and chose the wrong path and just before the skins title appears at first its transparent which could stand for them putting on an act and then the skins title turns white with a black background which could symbolises them or every teenager in general that starts off innocent little children who grow into teenagers who drink, smoke, take drugs, have underage sex and disobey authority.
